TEDDINGTON & ALSTONE VILLAGE HALL UPDATE

The Teddington and Alstone Village Hall Management Committee are pleased to announce that further to the re-roofing works, the installation of the solar energy system and air-to-air heating/cooling system carried out in 2025, we have now gratefully received grant funding to assist with the following projects: - to install a further air-to-air heating/cooling system in the toilet block (National Lottery Community Fund) - to carry out ground-works in the front garden prior to installing new seating (Gloss County Council Grassroots Neighbourhood Fund) - to provide two bench seats in the front garden (Community Health & Wellbeing Grant, TBC) Later on during September, the main hall, kitchen and entrance lobby will be redecorated.  The work will entail freshening up the existing colour scheme; treating and painting the ceiling; and patching up areas of wear and tear. Finally, during 2026 the Village Hall Insurance Company engaged with us regarding a possible subsidence claim at the kitchen end of the building.  This matter continues to be monitored and reported on by a specialist firm.  As part of this exercise the outside underground drainage was investigated and work was then undertaken to address the issues raised.
